Been messing with some tutorials on the Strobist, www.strobist.com, a bunch of lighting techniques and ideas.  Now I need a couple of Pocket Wizards to trip the flashes.  The D200 commander mode just isn't cutting the mustard.

A friend of mine Heather was looking to take some photos for a Meet up Site she was on.  At first some head shots and some 3/4 shots then maybe more later. She let me know later in the shoot that she was really nervous at first but began to get more comfortable with the picture taking as we went on.  I'm wondering if I was doing something right or if it was just the beer making her more comfortable. She is looking to do some more ARTSY stuff later, that doesn't read NUDE but more B&W and moody stuff I'm figuring.  Maybe some interesting lighting as well.  I'm still not feeling good about my lighting techniques and my light meter has somehow

I was asked by a very wonderful gal for a couple of portraits (on 8/30) for an application to a work sponsered "employee of the quarter" deal for a national restaurant chain that I'd say everyone knows a hoot about. While messing with the flash and hoping to use it as a fill I got some very neat looking 'high key' type portraits that I'm going to ask her if I could place up here. Other than that taking pictures has not been much of a priority lately.
